Dye sublimation paper is a kind of coated paper. For thermal heat transfer paper, we sublimate ink onto the items by high temperature. Therefore, fast dry sublimation paper has no handfeel. So dye sub paper has good breathability. It is a digital thermal dye sublimation transfer paper specially suitable for high-speed inkjet printing. As dye sublimation paper manufacturer, our 70gsm fast dry sublimation transfer paper has high quality.
It is a special inkjet transfer paper. Firstly, we use sublimation ink and printer to print graphics and text onto paper. Then heat up to about 220℃ with heat transfer equipment. In this way, the ink on dye sublimation transfer paper will seep into the object in the form of vaporization. So we can transfer patterns to textiles, bögrék, metals, and other materials.

Application: polyester t-shirts and garments, ceramic mugs, üveg, metal;
(1) First of all, the printing and drying speed is fast. Thus sublimation heat transfer paper suitable for high-speed printing requirements. Significantly improves print productivity.
(2) Secondly, low and medium ink volume printing does not require additional drying equipment for winding. And the printed pattern is clear, no cracking phenomenon.
(3) In addition, fast dry sublimation paper won’t curl when printing. Obviously it reduce the phenomenon of hitting the printing head.
(4) High density of color on the printed products after transfer. The color is full and even. The pattern is clear and has a good sense of hierarchy.
(5) Finally, the dye sublimation transfer paper is highly adaptable. It can meet the printing requirements of different printers and ink brands.
Dye sublimation transfer paper: Firstly, print the patterns onto the dye sub paper with sublimation ink. And then transfer the patterns to fabric using high temperature.
Heat transfer paper: Laminate the patterns on the PET film to the fabric through the adhesive layer.
(1) Different transfer time and temperature
Heat transfer takes 10 seconds and 150°C. While thermal sublimation takes 30 seconds and 200°C.
(2) After transferring, touch feeling different
Heat transfer printing is the pattern stamping on the fabric. The paper is also namely iron on transfer paper. So it will have a stiffer feel to the touch. But thermal sublimation is to penetrate the pattern ink into the fabric. So touch is no difference with the fabric.
(3) Different applicable materials
Iron on heat transfer paper is suitable for cotton, knitted, non-woven, luggage and other fabrics. But dye sublimation transfer paper can’t be applicable for cotton. Thermal sublimation is only suitable for white polyester fabrics and ceramic mugs.
In fact, it’s simple to apply the quick dry sub paper. Below show you the how to use it.
Firstly, before you start printing the t shirt transfer paper, print a test line. Check to see if the print head is working.
Create a new file and import the image. Then adjust the image size.
Print settings: Set the paper automatically and check the mirror image. After OK, the machine starts printing.
Finally, nyomtatás után, just cut out the graphics.
Kint note: It needs to replace and clean the gasket of the print head. And it also needs to clean the ink suction assembly.
Firstly, set the temperature of the stamping machine at 220°C. The heating time is 25 seconds.
Then lay on the substrate fabric. Then reverse cover the printed dye sublimation paper.
After the temperature up to 220℃, start stamping. After finishing heating, move away the heating plate.
Finally remove the sublimation tranfer paper. The pattern is then transferred to the fabric.
A1: It must use the sublimation ink. It’s a kind of dye ink. Thermal sublimation is the direct vaporization of a solid into a gas when heated to a certain temperature. So this allows the patterns to penetrate directly into the object. Thus, other inks doesn’t work.
Ordinary ink is different from sublimation transfer ink in terms of permeability, high scratch resistance, stretchability, and color. If use ordinary ink, it is impossible to attach the pattern on the dye sublimation paper to the substrate by high temperature. Even if it is 500℃, it will not be colored.
A2: It’s waterproof. Fast dry sublimation paper also belongs to heat transfer paper. Its processing process is as follows: firstly, print the ink on the paper. Then sublimate and transfer the dye to the fabric at a temperature of 200 degrees. So it will not fade with 100℃ hot water.
A3: The drying speed is also an important indicator of digital thermal dye sublimation transfer paper. During the winding process of continuous printing, the front side with the pattern will be in contact with the back side. If the drying speed is slow, it will affect the production efficiency.
Our paper is fast dry sublimation paper. And the drying time can reach 30 seconds.
