A beautiful porcelain ceramic must be inseparable from the water transfer decals for ceramics.
Now the decoration of ceramics is mainly achieved by the screen printing water transfer decals.And the screen printing technology,
ink and the water slide decal paper will influence the quality of ceramic decals.
1. the characteristics of water transfer ceramic decals
1) the ceramic decals are mainly used for pattern and color decoration of ceramic,and it can replace the traditional hand-painted and spray color process;
2) The graphic resolution of silk screen printing ceramic decals can reach 40~50 DPI/CM;
3) After the decals pasted onto the ceramics,it needs to be fired at 700-800°C or 1100-1350°C high temperature.Then the adhesion will be very strong.Color depends on the type of colorant in the ceramic.
4) Ceramic decals are carriers for ceramic decorative patterns.And it can be divided into ceramic on-glaze decals and ceramic under-glaze decals.
5) Due to the strong hiding power and poor transparency of ceramic ink,at present, it is not possible to use the principle of three primary colors to print.
6)The ink used to print on glaze decals is high-temperature solvent ink.And For under-glaze decals, the print ink is high temperature water ink.
2. Classification of water transfer ceramic decals
According to the order of the decals and glazing and the different sintering methods,the water transfer ceramic decals are divided into on glaze decals and under glaze decals.
1) on-glaze water transfer ceramic decals printing and usage
The ceramicware is glazed first,stick decals,and then sintered.
It means that fist screen print the pattern on the PVB film with the ceramic pigment.And then coat the PVB film onto the water slide transfer decal paper(Coated with vinyl chloride adhesive-180g/m2) with two times of PVB solution.
When use the ceramic on glaze decals,firstly separate the water slide decal paper from the printed PVB film,then the PVB film is immersed in alcohol and then transferred to the glaze of the ceramic ware, and then sintered at 780-850°C.The PVB film is carbonized and decomposed, and the color pattern is attached to the surface of the ceramics,completing the color transfer of the ceramic ware.
2)under-glazed water transfer ceramic decals printing and usage
Firstly stick the water transfer decals onto the ceramics embryos,then coat a layer of transparent enamel and sintered at high temperature into colored ceramic ware.
When use,stick the water transfer ceramic decals onto the ceramic embryos.After peeling off the backing paper, a layer of transparent enamel is applied to cover the entire ceramic embryo, and then the ceramic embryo is sintered at 1350°C into colored ceramics.
